School Life - Weekends & Exeats

It is Bryanston policy to make the weekends full and interesting and many of the schools facilities are available for pupil use. Matches take place most Saturday afternoons and on Saturday evenings there is often a professional production in the Coade Hall or some other form of entertainment such as a film or disco. The weekends also provide valuable time for rehearsing and performing plays and concerts and for house-based trips out of School.

Nevertheless, pupils do, of course, go home and a flexible system allows them to take short weekend breaks from the end of classes on Saturday until bedtime on Sunday, providing they have no prior commitment and have permission from their housemaster/housemistress. In addition, there are fixed exeats when pupils must leave. Several weekends each term, coaches run between the School and a number of major cities. But, apart from having their children home, we hope that parents may also wish to visit Bryanston at the weekends to watch matches and plays, listen to concerts, attend church or just enjoy the surroundings.
