School Life - Art

Creativity is at the core of the Bryanston philosophy and much value has always been attached to freedom of expression in the arts.

artOne of the great strengths of Bryanston Art is its variety. Within the department there are specialist areas and teachers for drawing and painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, print making and textiles.

Art is compulsory in the First Year when pupils are introduced to the diversity available and encouraged to try different media. It is a popular choice at GCSE, AS and A Level, and pupils regularly gain places at leading Art Colleges.

The Slade School of Fine Art @ Bryanston

This major new initiative sees The Slade School of Art locating part of its Summer School at Bryanston during 2008. The Summer School is a ten-week art foundation course primarily for those applying for degree courses but will also be of interest to top-grade A Level students. The course will be run by Professor John Aiken and all enquiries should be directed to slade.enquiries@ucl.ac.uk
