Sebastian Tombs - H'67 : Fund raising bike ride - please support!

29 August 2008
Hello! I am cycling the length of the Great Glen at the end of August, in support of a homeopathic charity in Northern Botswana, where my wife Eva will be offering her professional skills to those suffering from AIDS etc, for three months from October 2008.

I will be REVERSE cycling the canal-side sections, to add drama and excitement - and risk! - and to encourage YOU to visit the Just Giving website for a bit more detail.

Do please contribute - even if only a modest amount! The site is at www.justgiving.com/sebastiantombs
or go to www.justgiving.com/evatombsheirman
Thanks! Sebastian

PS: If you want a demonstration of reverse cycling, give me a call, and I will show you how it's done! (Images, too, on the site!)

CYCLE AGAINST CANCER - How many times can Iain Krysztofiak climb Alpe d'Huez in 12 hours?

5 June 2008 Alpe D'Huez
A message from Iain: "On Thursday at 5.00 in the morning I will start the challenge of climbing the mountain in the hope of raising as much money as possible for Cancer research. I'm hoping I can make it up and down at least 6 times.....maybe if you sponsor me enough I'll try to go for 8! We will see......the legs are working but having played a game this season for the Leiden University 2nd xv team I'm not sure if the rest of my body will hold out!....it took me six weeks to recover from being squashed underneath both sets of forwards but as the referee kindly pointed out 'it was my own fault for collapsing the maul!'
So all my friends and family, please, please give generously to this great cause. Every cent goes directly to the Cancer Research Centre and this year they are hoping to raise 3 million euros. I dont have to mention how close the disease will brush past all of us during our life time but this is one way we can all smash it with one big heavy rugby tackle.
How can you sponsor me? Go to the Sportcity website, click on the sponsorformulier link, follow the instructions and then choose BSN as the team id ....that's me cycling under my school's name British School in Netherlands. Thank you all in advance for your support. All of you will be on my back wheel pushing me all the way.

Kind regards Iain"
